Beam

“Vibrant” is only just beginning to describe the new website for Beam. Resi was tasked with creating a web presence for the Beam brand that was different than any other property in their market. A focus on the bright, geometric shapes provided a playfulness that would not be easily forgotten.

Located on the iconic curve of West Broadway Avenue in the Jordan neighborhood, Beam delivers 72 mixed-income apartments (50% and 60% AMI) and 20 townhomes (80% AMI) to the community of North Minneapolis. The 92-unit apartment building has homes ranging from 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom floor plans, as well as 3-bedroom townhomes with private garages.

Visual Identity

The fun and colorful identity for Beam was developed by Juxtaposition Art, a teen-staffed art and design center in North Minneapolis. Resi was asked to transform this identity into digital form by crafting web elements, selecting imagery and designing user interactions that reflect the same experience described in the brand guidance.

Web Elements

Custom image masks, bright geometric shapes and soft edged elements are utilized throughout the Beam website to create a cohesive look and feel from the neighborhood map to the floor plan details.
